Women's ministry
Here at Gateway, our goal for Women's Ministry is to teach, equip, care for, and strengthen women in their faith in Christ.
Depending on the season, we offer a few different options for women to study and learn with one another. Our studies vary from looking at topical ideas, spiritual disciplines, and specific books of the Bible.

COFFEE BREAK
Gateway Coffee Break is a weekly Women's Bible Study Ministry.
We meet on Wednesdays from 9.30-11.00am at the church, and happily provide childcare for participants for ages 0-5, from September to May.
Our goal is to minister to women in our church and community and grow our faith together as women in Christ.

COFFEE BREAK FAQ's
What does a Wednesday morning typically look like?
A typical Wednesday morning begins with your arrival and registering any kids you have under 5 in our lobby for our Nursery (ages 0-2) or Story Hour (ages 3-5) then heading upstairs. When you come upstairs, we have coffee and snacks available and allow for a time of fellowship and community. Our more formal time begins with worshiping together through song, short devotions, and a time of prayer. We then break into small groups to discuss our study topic for that week.
Are study materials available/cost?
We provide all study materials and sometimes ask for a nominal fee, only if you are able.
What is the study?
Our study for this season will be in "1, 2, & 3 John, and Jude" By Max Lucado, focusing on Love and Truth.
Do I need to attend every week to participate?
No, though we encourage you to come as often as you can, we realize that many factors affect our daily lives and we specifically structure our studies so that you can miss a week, or do the study at home if you are unable to attend.
Is there childcare available?
Yes! We offer a nursery for children up to age 2 located in the lower hallway in the Heritage Wing. We also offer Story Hour for children ages 3-5 also, in the lower hallway. When you come, we'll do our best to get you and your children settled! Story Hour is a place where children learn Bible stories, sing, play, and do crafts.
INDUCTIVE BIBLE STUDY
What is inductive Bible study?
Inductive Bible study is a method of studying the Bible that allows you to discover for yourself what Scripture says, what it means, and how to apply its truths to your life. We believe that the process of discovering truth for yourself is essential to knowing God deeply and living differently.
We believe God still speaks today and that His Primary and Authoritative way of doing this is through His Word; all 66 books!
This method utilizes 3 tools:
#1 - Observation: What does the Bible say?
#2 - Interpretation: What does this mean?
#3 - Application: What do I do?
We do this through personal daily study and participation in weekly discussion groups.
This group meets alongside Coffee Break, at the same times, and places, Wednesdays from 9.30-11.00am at the church, just different rooms! We provide childcare, and invite you to learn more through connecting with the church office. Be sure to ask about the "Inductive study group that meets with Coffee Break."
INDUCTIVE STUDY FAQ'S
What is the commitment?
Registration will open in August for Fall 2023. Sessions are 7-11 weeks depending on the material. Cost of study is $15-20. Personal study time is around 15-20 min, 5 x a week. (1.5 hours)
When do we meet?
Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11 alongside Coffee Break. We start with 10 minutes of community and coffee, and then use the rest of the morning for group discussion. Child care is available!
Senior Women's BIBLE STUDY
The Senior Women's Study is a women's Bible study ministry for mature women of faith (60+) that meets from October to April from 9.30-11.30am, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday's of the month.
Our main purposes are to study the Word of God, challenge and encourage each other in building our faith, and to build community with one another.
We typically enjoy a time of coffee together, socialization, and then dive deep into our study of the Word. Our studies have included topical ideas in scripture as well as studying specific books of the Bible.

Life groups
We also host a whole variety of Life Groups with the goal of developing Meaningful Relationships centered on Gods Word and prayer. There's a place for you there!
Our groups meet in two semesters over the year for nine week stretches, and follow the teaching from our weekend services.
