Frequently Asked questions
Our campers safety is our #1 priority. We are committed to closely following all Provincial Health Orders and protocol issued by the government. For more info, see our “Covid-19 protocol”
Absolutely! Life happens we get it! As long as you provide us with at least 7 days of notice and there is still space in the camp you hope to transfer to. Contact our Camp Director with your name, the name of the campers and what week you'd hope to transfer to.
If you or anyone in your household is experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 or you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive we ask that you keep your child at home to prevent the spread of any illness. We apologize for any inconvenience!
If your child becomes sick throughout the day, we will call the parent/guardian.
If your child will be staying home please contact jayden@gatewaycrc.org
Please let us know in advance and we will be happy to accommodate. If we are on an outing we may ask you to come pick your child up from that location or wait until our bus returns to the campus.
Yes! We understand that sometimes things come up. The parent/guardian authorized on the disclosure, consent and release form just needs to notify us in person or by email prior to pick up who that person will be. We will not be able to allow campers to leave without a person authorized on the consent and release form.
Camp Staff has multiple individuals with their first aid training but we are privileged to have one staff member who's main role is that of First-Aid Attendant. We can ensure that your child will be taken care of in the unlikely case of an emergency.
Our outings will continue rain or shine unless the weather creates an unsafe environment. Dress your child according to the current weather and if we have to make a change to our schedule we will do so as necessary.
Yes, campers are expected to have all their own food, along with a water bottle. If this an issue, please contact jayden@gatewaycrc.org.
Please note that Gateway Summer Camp is a Nut-Free environment.
A large portion of our week will take place on our campus but for when we do leave campus we will be using a school bus and/or a mini bus with fully qualified and experienced drivers.
Note: All activities subject to change based on availability and Covid-19 protocols
If the camp you wish to send your child(ren) to is full, please email jayden@gatewaycrc.org to add your name to the wait-list. If and when spaces open, you will be contacted.
Provided you contact our Camp Directors at least 14 days prior to the start of the camp you are cancelling for, you are eligible for a full refund. Any cancellations within that 2 week period leading up to camp are unable to be refunded as supplies and bookings for your child have already been purchased.
